1- SAY NO!
2- GET AWAY! (from the computer)
3- TELL AN ADULT!
What is cyberbullying?
Cyberbullying is unfairly and repeatedly bullying or harassing someone
via email, I.M’s, text messages, etc…
It may consist of name calling, teasing, spreading rumors or threatening someone online.
It is a crime to cyberbully.How can I prevent being cyberbullied?- You can prevent cyberbullying by standing up for yourself or your peers in other bullying situations.
- If
you are on the internet and feel a conversation or emails are starting
to make you upset, angry etc… stop communicating with that person.
- Treat others the way you want to be treated online.
- Don’t give out your personal information.
What should I do if I am being cyberbullied?- If you are cyberbullied first tell an adult you trust. Show them what the cyberbully has written.
- Block the person from contacting you and do not respond to them.
- Report them to your internet service provider and forward them the messages you’ve received.
- Make sure to print what they said for evidence.
- If the cyberbullying includes threats of harm, report it to the police.
- If a friend is being cyberbullied encourage them to tell or tell an adult you trust.
